Shakib Al Hasan’s Bowling Suspension Upheld as Tamim Iqbal Announces Retirement from International Cricket

Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan remains suspended from bowling in ECB-organized competitions after failing a reassessment of his bowling action. Despite the suspension, he is eligible to play as a specialist batsman in domestic and international cricket. The Bangladesh Cricket Board may consider him for the upcoming Champions Trophy in this capacity.

Former Bangladesh one-day captain Tamim Iqbal has announced his retirement from international cricket to avoid becoming a distraction for the team ahead of the Champions Trophy. Debuting in 2007, Tamim has been a prolific scorer with over 15,000 runs and 25 centuries, the most by any Bangladeshi batsman.
